Valencia Duo David Navarro & Miguel Angel Moya Wary Of High Flying Mallorca
The pair face their former club this weekend...
Speaking ahead of Valencia's Primera Liga game against Mallorca at the Mestalla on Saturday, David Navarro and Miguel Angel Moya have admitted that they are impressed with the start the Balearic islanders have made to the season.
Navarro spent the last two seasons on loan at Mallorca before returning to establish himself as a first choice centre half with Los Che while Moya also arrived at Valencia from the Ono Stadi during the summer in a €5 million move.
"Clearly, the results and the points show that they [Mallorca] have earned the status as a revelation team because all the team above them are clubs with much larger budgets and they are not expected to be there," Moya declared.
"I do not remember a start like this in recent years and [Gregorio] Manzano has to take credit because he knows how to reorganise the team each year to get a great performance."
Mallorca currently lie sixth in the table are the only team outside of Barcelona and Real Madrid to maintain a 100 per cent home record this season but away from home have failed to win going into Saturday's game.
"There position in the league is what it is and we must keep this in mind on Saturday," commented Navarro.
