Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has called on his team-mates to put their match against Barcelona out of their minds until they have negotiated their Champions League tie with FC Zurich.

"A bit more importance is being given to Sunday's game at the moment, but Wednesday's match is very important as well," he stressed to Marca.

"We must be focused tomorrow and then think about Barcelona."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in los Merengues' squad for tomorrow's game, and Higuain is hopeful that he has lost none of his goalscoring form during his spell on the sidelines.

"He scored goals in almost every game, he is very decisive and it's a delight that he has recovered this week.

"Great players make teams play better. He is such a player and I hope that his return will be of maximum help."

With Ronaldo's recovery almost complete, one of los Blancos' players must make way. When Higuain was asked whether he was worried it would be him, he remained diplomatic.

"My position is striker and when Cristiano returns, the coach will decide where I play."
