Sevilla Winger Diego Perotti's Agent Plays Down Real Madrid Talk
His agent says Perotti intends to remain at Sevilla...
Diego Perotti's agent Alvaro Torres has acknowledged that Real Madrid are interested in the Sevilla winger, but has revealed that Los Merengues have not made any direct contact with him about the player.
Recent reports in the Spanish press suggest that the Argentine winger is a summer 2010 target for Madrid, but Torres is adamant that the player is happy with Los Nervionenses and feels he owes the Andalusian side a debt of gratitude.
"I know that Diego is a player they like in Madrid but we have not directly heard from them. Right now, I see him extending closer ties with Sevilla than a change of scenery," Perotti's agent told AS.
"The player is very happy at Sevilla and growing a lot as a footballer. Also, Diego will always be grateful for what they are doing for him at this club. With all this, I can say that his intention today is to continue at Sevilla."
Torres also said that the 21-year-old is attracting interest from more than just Madrid, with some of Europe's other top clubs also watching with interest.
"I know many scouts and they speak wonders of him. No wonder that other major clubs also follow him closely," he concluded.
