Kaka On Real Madrid Dream, Chelsea Bid & Serie A Downturn
The Brazilian has opened up about his desire to join los Merengues, not going to England and how Italian football is not as "fun" any more...
The Brazilian superstar left Milan in the summer for €67 million and completed a dream transfer to the Los Blancos after refusing to leave the Italian club in January.
Manchester City reportedly bid over €100m to try and sign him in the last winter transfer window. Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti also wanted to take him to Chelsea in the summer
“Madrid is a great club," he told Cadena Cope radio station. "I could have gone to any team if it was a matter of money, but I always dreamed about playing here. That’s exactly what I told Ancelotti when he wanted me to sign for Chelsea.
“Manchester City made a spectacular offer and it was the first time Milan opened their doors to sell me. Fans wanted me to stay and I did.
“I realised it wasn’t time to leave. My wife and family helped me make the decision. If there was a day that I ever left Milan it would only be to come to Madrid.
“Now I hope to win many titles here. I have good relationship with [Sergio] Ramos, Iker [Casillas], [Lassana] Diarra and all the Brazilians.”
Kaka then stated that he thinks Serie A has lost some of its shine in the past few years for various reasons.
“Calcio isn’t as strong as it used to be before the corruption cases. The tax matter also plays a role," he added.
"Football there is very tactical and it taught me a lot, but I have a lot more fun now.”
