Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has revealed that a deal has been done for Ernesto Chevanton to move to Italy and join Atalanta on loan.

The Andalucian club's chief broke the news to reporters before he boarded a plane for Romania, where the Rojiblancos are heading on Champions League duty.

Since joining Sevilla in 2006, Chevanton has only played a bit-part role, and the arrival of Alvaro Negredo in the summer has seen him slip further down the pecking order this term.

"The loan move of Chevanton was done at the request of the coaches, who think that he needs to play regularly," Del Nido was quoted as saying by Europa Press.

"All it needs is for some papers to be signed, but the deal has been done and we have shaken hands on it."

Del Nido also dismissed reports linking Sevilla winger Diego Perotti with a possible move to Real Madrid either in January or at the end of the current campaign.

"Sevilla have no plans at all to let any player go," he added.

"One has to learn not to believe everything one reads because the Madrid press enjoy stories that are the very opposite of what is happening.

"All we are thinking about is ourselves and we want all our players here."
