Vicente del Bosque Has Verbally Agreed New Spain Deal – Spanish FA President
The former Real Madrid boss appears poised to remain with la Furia Roja for another two years...
The former Real Madrid trainer took over the reins of la Furia Roja in 2008 when Luis Aragones stepped down. He has steered the team to South Africa with a 100 per cent record.
With his current contract due to run out after the finals next July, Del Bosque has made it clear that he would like to extend his contract by adding another two years to it.
Spanish Football Federation president Angel Maria Villar has revealed that he has verbally offered the coach, who has said the Spain job will be his last, a deal.
"I spoke with Del Bosque to renew his contract for two years and he expressed his agreement," Villar told the Spanish press.
"We have not signed the contract renewal, but his word is important. We have full confidence in our coach as can be seen from the results so far."
