We Played Well Against Osasuna - Valencia Coach Unai Emery

He is happy that two midfielders contributed goals in the 3-1 win...

Valencia coach Unai Emery said his side played well after they took all three points with a fine display in a 3-1 win over Osasuna at the Reyno de Navarra.

Midfield pair David Albelda and Carlos Marchena scored two cracking goals to add to David Villa's opener and although Masoud pulled one back for the hosts, who finished with nine men, Valencia held out for the win.

'We had to adapt [after Walter Pandiani's red card] and we did," Emery said afterwards, according to Super Deporte.

"We try to get goals from other players and not just the strikers, we have had a great game in general. The important thing is to create an identity and we're getting there. The team has been intelligent and the individual creativity helps the team collectively."

Emery also said that the introduction of Ever Banega for David Silva after Masoud's goal was an important move as the hosts looked to get back into the game.

"When you are winning and you have an extra player, you need the ball and secure over the result. They have pushed when we were 3-1 up and it is normal to suffer. The introduction of Banega fixed this," Emery stated.
