Player Ratings: Osasuna 1-3 Valencia
Los Che continue their impressive form with an efficient performance in Pamplona and Goal.com rated each player's performance out of ten...
OSASUNA
Ricardo - 5: Should have come off his line to challenge Villa for the first goal but had no chance for the other two efforts.
Cesar Azpilicueta - 4: Everything Los Che did came down his wing and he was beaten all too easily by the pace of Valencia's attack.
Josetxo - 5.5: The best of a bad lot at the back for Osasuna but his misguided clearance left Marchena free to ram home the third goal.
Miguel Flano - 4: Saw red late on for a petulant kick on Banega and had a poor night in general.
Javier Calleja - 5: Had a solid enough performance but Joaquin got the better of him more often than not.
Juanfran - 4.5: Absolved himself completely of defensive responsibility and was half the reason Valencia had so much joy down this wing. Came into it more as an attacking force after the break but not a good night.
Patxi Punal - 5.5: Battled hard in the middle but Osasuna needed much more to stop the swift counterattack of the visitors.
Javad Nekounam - 5: Couldn't mount any sort of attacking threat and was limited to fouling Valencia players as a means of halting their attacks.
Javier Camunas - 5: Got forward on the odd occasion but was kept quiet by Bruno.
Walter Pandiani - 4: Unlucky to get sent off but didn't contribute anything of note besides one decent cross in the second half. A forgettable game for El Rifle.
Carlos Aranda - 5: Worked hard against a tough defence and his frustration showed as Navarro got the better of him.
Substitutes:
Masoud - 6.5: Took his goal really well and offered a lively threat up front, shame he wasn't on earlier because he changed things for the hosts.
Dady -5.5: Stood out in now way whatsoever.
Ruper: N/A
VALENCIA
Cesar - 6.5: Could do little about Masoud's goal but had a good game besides, especially dealing with some wayward back passes from his own defenders.
Bruno - 6.5: Solid in defence and got forward to aid the attack on a few occasions.
Dealbert - 6: One shocking back pass to Cesar put the 'keeper under threat but otherwise had quite a good game.
David Navarro - 7.5: One of Los Che's best performers on the night, excellent in the air and even posed a threat at the other end from set pieces.
Jeremy Mathieu - 6: Played his keeper into trouble with a lazy back pass early on but got forward well to help the attack and defended well for most of the game, Juanfran rarely got a look-in.
David Albelda - 7: Splendid vision for his goal which was executed to perfection and played some brilliant through balls for the attackers.
Carlos Marchena - 8: A commanding midfield display from the captain. Made Villa's goal with a clever through ball and took his own with a magnificent strike.
Pablo Hernandez - 7.5: Showed great energy from start to finish and probably deserved a goal, a real team player, worked his socks off.
David Silva - 7: When he was in it, he was excellent but he drifted in and out of the game, seemed to pop up everywhere before making way for Banega.
Joaquin - 6.5: Had a good game, his set piece deliveries were hit and miss but he was always available and showed well for the ball
David Villa - 7.5: Typically lethal finish to open proceedings but was wasteful with some of his efforts at goal when he had others in support. His goal typified Valencia's efficiency with their chances.
Substitutes:
Ever Banega - 6.5: Brought in to shore things up in the middle and did so to good effect, got in possession and took pressure of his back four.
Alexis: N/A
Ruben Baraja: N/A
