Barcelona fans face a nervous wait to find out whether Lionel Messi will be fit for the game against Real Madrid, as he has already been ruled out for the clash against Inter Milan.
According to Marca, Messi was substituted during the match against Athletic Bilbao because of an injury to the abductor muscle in his left leg.
Barca coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that the Argentine would undergo medical tests on Sunday, before saying, "The early signs are not good."
With Eric Abidal, Rafael Marquez and Yaya Toure stricken by the H1N1 virus, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic under an injury cloud, this knock to Messi further complicates Barca's problems heading into two very important games.
