Valencia midfielder Ever Banega has described team-mate David Silva as Los Che's most important asset and said the Spaniard is a world class player on par with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Silva's performances for Los Che have drawn interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs and Banega has no doubts about the quality of the 24-year-old.

"He [Silva] is the most crucial player at Valencia and is on the same level as other world stars such as a Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi," the 21-year-old told AS.

The Argentinian midfielder also stated that he still has aspirations of making Diego Maradona's Argentina squad for next summer's World Cup finals but he is realistic and says there are players ahead of him in the list for selection.

"Every player dreams of wearing the Albicelestes shirt and I've been more attentive to the last few calls. Now I'm relaxed, enjoying playing with Valencia. I dream of going to the World Cup but I have not been called yet and I know there are many players ahead," he noted.
