Tenerife Respect Us Like They Do Real Madrid Or Barcelona - Sevilla Coach Manolo Jimenez

Los Nervionenses coach says he trusts his players to deliver...

Manolo Jimenez, Sevilla
Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez says his team have earned a similar respect to Barcelona and Real Madrid from Saturday's Primera Liga opponents  Tenerife and says that is sufficient motivation for his team to try to win.

Tenerife midfielder Omar said earlier this week that his side dream of beating Sevilla and Jimenez feels that such aspirations are the result of much hard work from his side. Los Nervionenses go into the game just four points behind league leaders Barcelona.

"I worry the same about all opponents. I worry first about my team. That Omar would state he dreams of beating Sevilla is evidence of something that is hard to gain, they respect us as they respect [Real] Madrid and Barcelona. That motivates us. I trust in my players, we have serious opportunities to win," he remarked at a press conference

Jimenez's side have gone fifteen games unbeaten in all competitions since their opening day defeat to Valencia and will look to maintain their title challenge with three more points at the Heliodoro Rodriguez stadium.
