Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has declared himself happy after helping Uruguay secure their place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and says he will be ready for Los Colchoneros game against Deportivo La Coruna today.

The Celeste qualified for the World Cup thanks to a 2-1 aggregate victory over Costa Rica following a 1-1 draw in the second leg at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo on Wednesday.

Forlan was included in the squad for the trip to the Riazor by coach Quique Flores despite not having returned for the tie and confirmed that he had agreed with the coach while in Montevideo that he would play against Depor.

"I am quite tired, for sure, but I am happy with what has been achieved," he told AS shortly after arriving back in the Spanish capital.

"Now I will go to training and then travel with the team. We had agreed that I would travel while I was in Montevideo, it is normal and I owe that to club."
