Athletic Bilbao Coach Joaquin Caparros Says Real Madrid Are Anxious To Emulate Barcelona
Los Leones coach says the Blaugrana play a wonderful brand of football...
Speaking at a press conference ahead of his sides Primera Liga meeting with Barca at San Mames, Caparros praised Barcelona's achievements which he says cannot ever be repeated with so many players from a club's youth system.
Barca won the treble last season with a host of first team players having come through La Masia, the club's renowned training school.
"Everyone in Madrid has anxiety because they have a need to not only match Barca at winning titles but also to get playing a wonderful brand of football like Barca," Caparros declared.
"Getting all these title, playing well, and with 70 per cent of players coming from La Masia is impossible to repeat and I'm sure it will not happen again."
He also remarked that Spain play like Barca because it has the same players, or "players like [David] Silva, [David] Villa and Cesc Fabregas who have a similar profile".
