The Portuguese winger suffered an ankle injury in the UEFA Champions League tie against Marseille on September 30 and aggravated it soon afterwards in Portugal's World Cup qualifier against Hungary.
As result the talismanic 24-year-old has missed nine games for Los Blancos, and also missed out on Portugal's World Cup play-off against Bosnia. In that seven week period Madrid won just three of the nine fixtures without their top scorer.
Ronaldo received the all-clear from medics this week and returns to full training on Friday. He may feature in Madrid's Primera Liga tie against Racing Santander on Saturday.
"Thanks to all Real Madrid fans for the support they have given me during the time I have been injured. I'm going to be back soon," he told fans on the the club's official website, www.realmadrid.com.
