Esteban Granero Eager To Return To Action For Real Madrid After International Break
The midfielder believes that los Merengues will pick up the three points with the backing of their fans...
Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero has admitted that he cannot wait to appear in a white shirt again after the international hiatus, although he knows the challenge that Racing Santander will provide on Saturday.
"I can't wait to return to the Bernabeu, to make all the stands applaud and enjoy the game and the result," he enthused to AS.
"[Racing] are coming to a difficult stadium and will give more than 100 per cent. I think it will be a very tough game, although we are favourites in theory. In any case, the support of our fans will help us a lot.
"We will try to score early, since we will go out with extra motivation."
Granero also opined on Barcelona's match with Athletic Bilbao, and is not ruling out the possibility that the Blaugrana could trip up against the Basques.
"It will be difficult. Although [Barcelona] are favourites in theory, it will be harder away from the Camp Nou against an experienced team.
"If Athletic don't concede in the first half, I think that they can take all three points."
