Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys pre-season training with his side
Cristiano Ronaldo will start against Barcelona in Camp Nou after missing ten games for Real Madrid, according to a report in Marca.

The Portuguese star has been sorely missed by Los Merengues, but he was this week given a boost. His injury was examined by an ankle expert in the Spanish capital and he was given the green light to step-up his recovery.

Though Madrid meet Racing Santander on Saturday, all thoughts are beginning to turn to the first 'Clasico' of the season, which takes place in Catalunya on November 29.

That encounter could determine the future of Manuel Pellegrini at the Santiago Bernabeu. Anything other than a strong performance could see his tenure prematurely finish.

As revealed on Tuesday, Ronaldo will return to full training at the end of this week and then be given a few minutes in the Champions League encounter with Zurich four days before the Barca game.

"The evolution of the ankle injury is very positive and the work that he is doing is perfect," Doctor Niek van Dijk was quoted as saying by Marca.
