Sevilla Squad Good Enough To Compete On All Fronts - Frederic Kanoute

Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute says Los Nervionenses squad is strong enough to challenge on all three fronts this season, and he feels that they can cope with the disruption of the African Nations Cup in January.

"Two seasons ago we had a very good squad and achieved many things, but now we have more quality players," he told AS.

"We almost have two teams and this will help us to be up there longer.  There is a squad good enough to be in all competitions, the second round of the Champions League and the fifth round also in the Copa del Rey.

"The difference [compared to previous seasons] is that everyone scores goals. There is solidarity in the team and offensively we have more potential because we have wide players and other options."

Sevilla will be without Kanoute, Didier Zokora and possibly Romaric and Arouna Kone for the African tournament in January but Kanoute is confident it will not have an adverse affect on the Andalusian side.

"The team will notice a little absence but for this reason we have a big squad," Kanoute remarked.
