Barcelona Star Lionel Messi Will Win FIFA World Player Award - Real Madrid Playmaker Kaka
The Brazilian says Barca's success means Messi has to claim the award...
Messi has finished second in the poll for the last two years, behind Cristiano Ronaldo last season and behind Kaka in 2007 and Los Merengues playmaker has his eye on recapturing the accolade next season.
"I think it is probably for Messi won everything with Barcelona last year," he said according to Marca.
"You must have a good year with your club and national team. Next year it will be chosen from those who do well at the World Cup. My goal is that Brazil finishes as champion and then let's think about individual awards."
The 19th annual FIFA World Player of the Year will be revealed on December 21 with a list of five players chosen as finalists from the 23-man list nominated last month.
