Barcelona Tracking Bayern Munich Defender Philipp Lahm - Report
Barca looking to add to their options at right-back....
At present Daniel Alves is the only natural right-back at Barcelona, with Carles Puyol often switching from the centre to cover the Brazilians absence. According to Sport the Catalan outfit are keen to add another option to their squad for the right-back berth.
The 26-year-old German is known to prefer operating on the right but has spent much of his career for club and country playing at left-back. Lahm has been at Bayern since 1995 and is vice captain at the Bavarian giants but his position at the club may have become somewhat fragile after he was fined a record amount by Bayern last week following scathing criticism of the club's lack of a defined football philosophy.
He is also believed to have other suitors in Manchester United and Juventus and it is expected that a price in the region of €16 million would be needed to secure his services.
