Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has revealed that he is happy to pay for reinforcements when the winter transfer window opens in January, but is delighted with the squad that is already at Manolo Jimenez's disposal.

"It's the most competitive Sevilla squad that we have known," he is quoted as saying by AS.

"If the coaches recommend who we buy, it will be done. But at the moment, they are saying no."

Three members of los Nervionenses' squad could be in action at the Vicente Calderon this evening for Spain's friendly against Argentina, and the chief is delighted that Jesus Navas, Diego Perotti and Alvaro Negredo are representing their national sides.

However, it is 23-year-old Navas who has received the brunt of the president's praise.

"I will be in the Calderon to be with him, Perotti and Negredo," Del Nido stated. "I anticipated that he was ready to go. Navas is the symbol of the cantera and of Sevilla, so I am tremendously proud."

There has also been renewed speculation over the future of Luis Fabiano, who is being strongly linked with a move to Serie A. However, Del Nido has confirmed that "no team in the world has asked for him".
