Guti Wants To Be Part Of Real Madrid's Project - Jorge Valdano
The director is happy that the midfielder has resolved his problems and is desperate to be involved with the first team again...
The director is now happy with the midfielder's attitude, saying that Guti has recognised his faults.
"Guti intends to collaborate and engage himself with the team," Valdano affirmed to Antena 3.
"The lunch helped to normalise the situation. There was a fortnight where there was a difference of opinions and this is now in the past. To see Guti's desire to be an active part of this project makes us happy.
"He has spent 15 years in the Real Madrid first team. We are all human and are entitled to have problems and show them in our workplace. The important thing is to recognise them and to correct them."
It is now being suggested in the press that a defeat to Barcelona in 'el Clasico' could spell the end for Manuel Pellegrini. However, Valdano looked to ease the pressure on the Chilean coach, who has come in for heavy criticism after the debacle against Alcorcon.
"After losing a game of this nature, no one can feel comfortable. We are sorry about it, we are suffering from it but we must keep moving forwards.
"Of course it brings all sorts of comments, but it doesn't break the confidence of the club in the coach, nor does it impose new patterns of work."
