Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo Wants To Return For Barcelona Clash
'El Clasico' is just over two weeks away, and the world's most expensive player wants to participate...
The Portuguese star has missed Los Merengues' last nine games and is becoming frustrated at being sidelined for such a long spell.
With a crucial Champions League encounter against FC Zurich followed by a trip to Barcelona coming up, he is eager to be given the green light to start playing again.
"I'm not a doctor, but I can say that I'm feeling better all the time," he was quoted as saying by Marca.
"I've already started to run. Next week I hope to be with the squad, but we will have to wait to see what happens."
"I'm anxious because I cannot play and this is what I like most.
"Of course I want to be able to face Barca, which is one of the great games, but I also want to be able to play before then."
At the start of the season the media produced the label 'Ronaldodependencia' because of his ability to seemingly win matches single-handedly, but the player does not agree.
"Everybody talks about this, but I've said several times that I'm not the saviour. I'm only a player who wants to help my team-mates and my team," he added.
