Maxwell Happy With Life At Barcelona
The Brazilian is waiting patiently for his chance to displace Eric Abidal and impress coach Guardiola...
Barcelona defender Maxwell has insisted that he is happy at the club, despite his lack of playing time, stating that he will continue to work hard in training to persuade Pep Guardiola that he deserves a first team place.
"I hope to always be available," he is quoted as saying by AS.
"Fortunately, I am in good shape physically and I am always available to the coach, and I always intend to give my best when he chooses to play me.
"I hope I stay well physically and I'm happy, but I also want to play - it's normal. A player trains and does everything in order to play, but I respect the decisions of the coach and [Eric] Abidal, who is doing very well."
Furthermore, Maxwell's international chances are being hindered by his substitute role at the Camp Nou, but the Brazilian is not despairing just yet.
"We all have chances," he said. "Others aren't missing many call-ups or friendlies and this is very difficult. But regarding the possibilities, I am always hopeful if I am fit."
