Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez has declared that winger Jesus Navas has been included in the Spain squad on merit, and said that he believes the 24-year-old is the best right winger in Europe at present, according to AS.

Navas' inclusion in the international squad has been delayed for quite some time, due to difficulties with anxiety attacks, and Valencia midfielder Pablo Hernandez criticised the behaviour of Los Nervionenses' role in getting their star winger into the squad.

"If Jesus Navas inclusion was based on merit he would have been there [in the squad] long ago. If you are asking me, he is the best right winger in Europe," he declared..

"To be among the best you have to get on with your work, which Navas has been doing that for many years, among the best in the league, so it is a great satisfaction."

Jimenez went on to say that the player is entering a new world, with his involvment in international football.

He added, "Right now he is wondering what all this entails. It's a new world, because international football is different."
