Similar Styles Helped Me Adapt To Real Madrid - Cristiano Ronaldo

With his price tag causing him no problems, the world's most expensive player has fitted in well at the Santiago Bernabeu. He thinks that the challenges he has faced this season have stimulated him...

Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid (Peace Cup)
Cristiano Ronaldo believes that he been able to adapt to life at Real Madrid because the Spanish game is not all that different to the football played in England.

The Portuguese star may be earning headlines for his injury lay-off at the moment, but he has played in enough games this season to recognise that he feels comfortable in la Primera Division.

Though many stars take time to settle in at new clubs, Ronaldo started his Madrid career in style and even saw the media stating that he is so good the team are already relying on him.

According to the €94 million man, things were made that much easier by the growing similarity between Spanish football and the English Premier League.

"Football is very similar everywhere. There are fewer differences nowadays between the styles in each country," he was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

"I feel great at Real Madrid and, despite having missed some games, playing at a new stadium with a new crowd and meeting different teams and players motivates me.

"I like to learn, so this is very stimulating, but it doesn't mean my former team [Manchester United] weren't."
