Barcelona defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy has not been at his best, but will discover his best form in a couple of months, according to his brother Victor, who spoke to COM Radio in Spain.

He also declared that his brother's absence from the Blaugrana squad for the UEFA Champions League, due to the fact that he appeared for Shakhtar Donetsk in the qualifying stages, is affecting his rhythm.

Chygrynskiy also missed three weeks of the season after straining knee ligaments, and his brother says it takes time to adapt to Barca who Victor describes as the "fastest team in the world".

"Dmytro is not playing very well at the moment, but it will take more time for him to adapt to the concepts of the game and understand the language of his team-mates," Victor declared before adding that missing out on the Champions League is costing Dmytro "continuity" in the team.

Chygrynskiy joined Barcelona in a €25 million move from Shakhtar, and has since made seven appearances for Barca.
