Valdano: Real Madrid's Ronaldo Out For At Least Two More Weeks
'CR9' will not be appearing for Portugal, according to the sporting director...
Jorge Valdano is the latest member of Real Madrid's staff to rule Cristiano Ronaldo out of Portugal's impending World Cup qualifier against Bosnia.
Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz had recently stated that he would pick Ronaldo even if only to play a few minutes, but Los Merengues' sporting director ruled out any such possibility. Speaking to Marca, he said, "Cristiano has a medical problem."
"It is serious enough that multiple doctors are working on it. We do not want to aggravate his injury.
"We will wait for two weeks, and then the doctor will assess it again."
Portugal take on Bosnia next weekend, but with Ronaldo having missed Real Madrid's 3-2 win against Atletico, there appears to be no chance of him taking part.
