Tenerife 2-2 Malaga: All Square Between El Tete And Visitors
Both sides walk edout of the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez with one point...
Early strikes from Roman Martinez and Alfaro gave Tenerife an early two-goal lead, but Edinho's effort in the first-half and Javi Lopez's late equaliser salvaged a point for Malaga.
Tenerife grabbed the lead in the 18th minute, when Omar moved past two players on the left side of the box before sending in a low cross to Roman Martinez, who sent the ball past Munua.
The hosts would double their lead just nine minutes later, as Kome passed the ball down the right side of the box to the centre to Alfaro, who slotted home from close range.
But Malaga would pull one back in the 30th minute, when Baha unleashed a through ball to Obinna, who was clear on goal but could not beat Aragoneses, giving Edinho the opportunity to score on the rebound.
The visitors almost levelled the match just minutes into the second half, as Duda raced past a horde of opponents down the left but his shot was blocked by Ricardo Leon.
Tenerife kept piling the pressure, and had plenty of chances to increase their lead in the second half, but it was Malaga who found the back of the net, in the 77th minute, through Javi Lopez, who sent home a weak but well-placed shot with his right foot.
