Atletico Madrid Hot-Shot Sergio Aguero Flattered By Chelsea Praise
High praise from the Blues has gone down well with the forward...
Sergio Aguero has admitted that praise from Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti was flattering, but assured that he will not let it distract him this season.
The Argentinian scored twice against the Blues in midweek and admits that he could have been playing for them this season after hearing about their interest in the summer.
After the Champions League encounter in midweek, Ancelotti stated that he was a big fan of 'El Kun' and that has gone down well with the striker.
"I liked hearing that and it makes me happy, but I'm still the same and I think like I have always done," he was quoted as saying by AS.
"It's flattering to say that I could play in a team like Chelsea, one of the best in the world.
"I know that during the summer, they said they were interested in me, as did several other teams, but I never received anything and I'm happy at Atletico."
"My mind is set on the derby [against Real Madrid]."
Los Colchoneros will take n their fierce city rivals on Saturday at 22:00 CET in El Derbi Madrileno.
