Pablo Hernandez And Javi Martinez In Line For Spain Call-Up - Report
Vicente del Bosque may be forced to call up a couple of inexperienced players as injuries have decimated his side...
AS believe that Valencia's Pablo Hernandez is in line for a call up, and he could earn just his second cap after making his debut for la Furia Roja in this summer's Confederations Cup.
Del Bosque is also waiting on Jesus Navas to publicly express his commitment to la Seleccion, as he is keen on calling up the Sevilla winger.
Navas' anxiety problems have hamstrung his international career so far, but there have been renewed calls for him to join the national team after an inspired start to the season.
In addition, the national coach is waiting for news on Villarreal's Marcos Senna. The experienced midfielder is struggling with an injury, and Del Bosque is weighing up the possibility of calling up Athletic Bilbao's Javi Martinez in Senna's stead.
Senna's team-mate Santi Cazorla will definitely be ruled out of the forthcoming friendlies, while Del Bosque is unlikely to take a risk on the Liverpool duo of Fernando Torres and Albert Riera.
