Barcelona President Joan Laporta Confident Ahead Of Rubin Kazan Match
The Blaugrana supremo has no doubts over his side's work ethic and commitment...
Barcelona's Champions League group is currently delicately poised, as they sit on four points alongside Rubin Kazan and Dynamo Kiev, while Inter are one point behind.
The European champions face Rubin in Russia this evening as they look to take a giant step towards qualification to the next stage, and Blaugrana president Joan Laporta is confident that his side's teamwork will pay dividends.
"It's a match to improve our position," he affirmed to Sport.
"We know that [the players] will give their all. But whatever the outcome, the players will show that they are putting in a lot of effort and are working with great intensity."
Laporta also took a swipe at the team's critics, arguing that the club's transfer activity this summer has not taken anything away from last season's treble-winning side.
"The squad are working very hard and are maintaining the same level as last year," he concluded.
