Barcelona Are Not Concerned About The Cold Weather - Lionel Messi
The mercurial Argentine believes that the Blaugrana need a little more luck than they had in the Camp Nou when they face Rubin Kazan...
According to the Catalan press, Barcelona called off their morning training session today due to the freezing conditions that are currently blighting the city of Kazan.
It is also believed that some of the players are concerned about the sub-zero temperatures, while others are unhappy about the long grass on Rubin Kazan's pitch.
However, Lionel Messi has dismissed this notion, claiming that the team are focused on dealing with the conditions and, ideally, getting a little more luck than they had at the Camp Nou.
"We aren't going to think about the cold or about the pitch," he is quoted as saying by Marca.
"What we're hoping for is to have a bit more luck than we had in the first match. Tomorrow won't be a final, but it would be better if we won so we are calmer."
For Messi, Rubin's surprise victory against the Blaugrana is categorical proof that "there are no inferior sides" in the Champions League. However, the European champions will not change their style of play as a result of the defeat.
"We will play with serenity and with the same mentality in order to keep winning trophies. We don't need to prove anything to anyone. We know what we're capable of."
