Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque is expecting an answer sometime this week on whether or not Sevilla winger Jesus Navas will be available for selection for the national side, according to AS.

The 23-year-old winger is said to be keen to get involved with La Furia Roja with the World Cup in South Africa in sight but has been blighted by anxiety problems which are exacerbated on long trips away from home but following discussions with the national teams assistant coach Fernando Hierro last week it appears his international debut may now be imminent.

Spain play two international friendlies later this month, against Argentina on November 14 and against Austria on November 18, which is just three days before Navas' 24th birthday and would be a fitting way to celebrate.

Navas' form for Sevilla has turned many heads, particularly since the start of the current campaign and he is seen by Del Bosque as the ideal replacement for Villarreal's Santi Cazorla who has been sidelined indefinitely by a back injury.
