Valencia Reconsidering Move For Saint Etienne Stopper Mouhamadou Dabo - Report
The Primera Division club are concerned with the youngster's current injury woes...
Valencia will continue to monitor the progress of Saint Etienne defender Mouhamadou Dabo with a view to a summer transfer, reports from Spain suggest.
Los Che have been long-time admirers of the 22-year old, who can play in either full-back position and who has risen through the ranks of the Ligue 1 side to become a first-team regular.
SuperDeporte remarks that coach Unai Emery was set to launch a bid for the Senegalese-born player in the summer, but his continuing injury problems have put any potential offer in doubt.
It is thought that Emery will continue to monitor the progress of Dabo throughout the rest of the season but if his fitness continues to be a pressing issue then they are prepared to re-assess their options.
Atletico Madrid sports chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch is also an admirer of Dabo, who has been capped at under-21 level for his adopted France, and should Valencia decide to end their interest then Los Colchoneros could be set to swoop to secure the player to bolster their fragile back line.
