Quique Sanchez Flores Confident Of Atletico Madrid Revival Despite Athletic Bilbao Loss
The new boss can see the light at the end of the tunnel...
After seeing his side lose to Athletic Bilbao in their first league game under his tenure, Quique Sanchez Flores expressed confidence in his ability to turn things around.
Speaking to Marca after the 1-0 loss, he said, "In the first half, we had difficulty in keeping the ball."
"But in the second, we dominated and had chances. Football is like that, and we cannot complain."
"When we arrived, we knew it would be a tough environment. We know the situation, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
"As soon as we get a win we will be on our way."
