Atletico Madrid Striker Diego Forlan Aiming To Continue Athletic Bilbao Goal Run
He has scored more goals against Bilbao than any other team in Spain...
The Basque outfit have been Forlan's favourite team to score against since moving to Spain in 2004. So far the Uruguayan has managed ten goals in ten games against Los Leones, five in six games with Villarreal and a further five in just four games with Los Colchoneros.
Of those five, three came in a memorable performance last season as Atletico came away 4-1 winners in the second last game of last season, which was a hugely important game for Atleti in securing a UEFA Champions League spot.
The second highest goal tally Forlan has managed against one team is nine, against Barcelona and only five teams in the last five years have managed to keep the two time Pichichi winner at bay. So far Forlan has managed 105 goals in 182 appearances in the Primera Liga.
