"We need results as soon as possible," he explained to Marca ahead of Saturday's clash with Athletic Bilbao.
"I have to try and shore up the defence, and we can't be easy prey for opposition defences in attack."
Sanchez Flores added that he was delighted with the welcome that he had received at the Vicente Calderon, and revealed that he would take every player into consideration for the upcoming set of fixtures.
"I'm delighted with the reception from the media and the fans - the players are also responsive and this is very positive.
"I have to continue administering the team because we face a very difficult schedule.
"I will try every player at the highest level, and those who don't play against Athletic know that they could have a chance against Chelsea. We aren't closing the door to anyone."
