Espanyol Can Beat Us If We Are Not Careful - Sevilla Coach Manolo Jimenez
Los Nervionenses' coach believes that his team could displace the top two at the summit of the Primera Division table...
Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez has warned his side that they must play their best football against Espanyol this weekend, or they risk slipping up in their chase for the league title.
"Anything other than 100 per cent is risking a loss - [Espanyol] are playing well," Jimenez affirmed to AS.
The tactician added that his squad "will be made official tomorrow" as he didn't want to show his hand too early.
He believes that his squad has enough depth to challenge the league's two giants for the title this year.
"Real Madrid and Barcelona are a step above us but they are not at the level they were at last year," Jimenez reasoned.
"It could be that the step up isn't as high..."
The coach concluded by saying that he understood Luis Fabiano's reaction when the Brazilian was substituted against Stuttgart in midweek, and explained that it was for the team's benefit.
"I don't act with a whip but you have to look for the good of the team. I'm happy that he got angry."
