Valencia Star David Silva Is Not For Sale - Report

Los Che are set to ward off interest from the Premier League...

David Silva, Valencia (PA)
Valencia's attacking midfielder David Silva will not be leaving the club during the winter transfer window, despite reported interest from Premier League champions Manchester United and rivals Chelsea, according to Super Deporte.

Club president Manuel Llorente is understood to be adamant that none of Los Che's key players will be leaving the Mestalla in January, as they look to secure a place in the Champions League next season.

Valencia haven't participated in Europe's premier competition since 2007/08, and Llorente, keen for a swift return, has been impressed by their unbeaten run against top rivals in Barcelona, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid, with Los Che managing five points from a possible nine from those fixtures.

Whilst Silva is not expected to leave during the winter transfer window, the club is understood to be planning to evaluate the situation of it's top stars such as he and David Villa, as it is understood that both the Blues and United will be making moves for the duo.
