La Liga Preview: Mallorca - Getafe
Will Getafe manage to get on top of their poor away performances this season, or will Mallorca continue their impressive home form at the ONO...
Mallorca
There No Form Like ONO Form
Performing incredibly well at home and putting in good shifts away from the ONO so far, things have been looking good for RCD Mallorca so far this season. Only in their previous game away to Sporting Gijon did alarm bells start to ring, when the Barralets threw away an early lead at El Molinon.
Jose Luis Marti got the visitors away to a dream start, dispatching a 12th minute spot-kick to give Mallorca the lead. However, wasted opportunities from the Islanders prompted a scoring spree from their Asturian hosts and the final whistle couldn't come fast enough as the game ended 4-1 in favour of the Rojiblancos.
Ahead of the game against Getafe, Mallorca boss Manuel Preciado will hope to continue his team's excellent home record this season against a team who haven't been entirely up to scratch when on the road.
Oh No! We're Off To The ONO!
Offering a strange mix of attacking brilliance and poor defensive displays this term, los Azulones have seen both ends of the footballing spectrum; from a 4-1 win over Racing Santander to a 3-0 thumping from an under-performing Real Zaragoza.
In their most recent match-up, Pedro Leon showed once again that he is worth every penny spent on him. Just 15 minutes from time, the 22-year-old let fly after some neat work with with Roberto Soldado out on the right. Shooting from distance with unstoppable venom, the winger broke the 1-1 deadlock, giving Geta a lead worth holding onto.
As mentioned before, Getafe have failed to record an away win since their matchday 1 decimation of Racing Santander. With that in mind, coach Michel will hope to break the forming trend, and perhaps also hope to get Soldado back on the scoreboard.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Mallorca
Managing a goal in every other game so far this season, Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia failed to score in his performance against Gijon and will be hoping to notch himself a goal to keep up his respectable ratio thus far.
Getafe
At this juncture, there can be no doubt in anyone's mind that Pedro Leon will be a key figure in Getafe's success this season. With a powerful shot, quick feet and boasting a good deal of brilliance from set-pieces, the young Spaniard is definitely one to watch not just in this game, but all season long.
PREDICTION
Michel will make no mistake in warning Getafe what awaits them at the ONO on Sunday. Mallorca have gained a momentum at home that other teams have begun to tremble at, but with a sub-par away record looming over them this season, los Azulones will want to get on the score-sheet at least once.

“The score made it look like it was an easy game, but it certainly wasn't.
(Strange... it looked pretty easy from where I was sitting, but hey.)
“I do not think it's over yet. I remember a clash between Milan and Deportivo la Coruna when Milan was also ahead by four goals, and in the end Deportivo eliminated Milan.
“I went into the Arsenal dressing room after the match to speak to Robin van Persie. I had agreed with him to swap shirts – my sons are big fans of his and he brought two for them. They will be delighted.
Van Bommel went on to talk about a possible move to PSV in the future, but was quick to point out his terms for the move.
“I've spoken with PSV, but we don't have an agreement yet. The club has to decide what they want.
“If Louis van Gaal turns out to be the new coach, I won't go.”
"Tonight everything went in the right direction and we did a very good match. You don't start a match thinking to win 4-0, but at the end i think we deserved it coz we played very well."
“We played wonderfully tonight, and Ibra was amazing. Everyone talks about Barcelona and Madrid, but if we always play like tonight we could win this competition.
“You have to consider that we still have a lot of injuries. Look what Boateng did after just coming back – that speaks volumes.
“When everyone is available for selection, I'm sure we can win the Champions League.”
“I said to Ibrahimovic not to use his hands (in reference to slapping a Napoli player at the weekend) and only his feet – he did that tonight.
“He reminded me of Van Basten, whom I am very happy for with his new job at Heerenveen.
“As for the future, we already have a great coach in Allegri and we're very happy with him. I speak to him and give him suggestions as I did with all my previous coaches.
“Champions League or Scudetto? We will try to win everything, and I think we can do just that. We had a lot of injuries, but we have a big squad, so we should be able to compete on all fronts.”
And now we have some reaction from San Siro, courtesy of our man in the field Sergio Stanco...
