Keirrison could be set to prolong his stay at Benfica, with Barcelona hoping to extend his loan period by another year.
Barca signed the Brazilian striker for €14million in the summer, and immediately sent him on loan to the Portuguese giants. However, things have not gone well for 'K9' thus far, having only played 136 minutes and failed to score so far.
Speaking to Sport, Barca sporting director Txiki Begiristain outlined the club's plans for the player, saying, "We are tracking Keirrison's progress, as we do with all the players that belong to us."
"The idea is that he remains with Benfica for another year.
"We have a good relationship with the club."
Keirrison is currently behind Oscar Cardozo, Nuno Gomes and Javier Saviola in the pecking order at the Estadio Da Luz.
