Sevilla’s Frederic Kanoute Delighted With Luis Fabiano Partnership
The Sevilla duo are back on song together, helping their side to an easy 4-1 win over Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday...
Frederic Kanoute believes that he and Luis Fabiano are back on form together after the pair helped Sevilla to a convincing victory against Rangers in the Champions League.
The Mali international knows that the competition for places has increased with the arrival of Alvaro Negredo this term, but he is pleased with his performances.
On Tuesday evening Kanoute scored one and setup another, and now he hopes to take that form into their game at the weekend.
"Our partnership works well at the moment both in the league and the Champions League, so we are happy because we are scoring goals and influencing games," he was quoted as saying by UEFA's official website.
"Hopefully, we can now take that form into the game against Real Madrid. It will be a tough game but hopefully we can win and move up to second in the league."
Sevilla have not been beaten since the opening day and face a true test of their ability to make a push for the title when the entertain Real Madrid in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this weekend.
