thumbnail Hello,

Los Blancos will be looking to make it three wins out of three in La Liga when they welcome Xerez to the Bernabeu. invites you to pick your starting XI…

Real Madrid coach, Manuel Pellegrini will finally get a chance to test the true strength of his squad depth as the games start coming in thick and fast.

After this Sunday’s home clash with Primera Division rookies, Xerez, the Chilean trainer will return to El Madrigal to face his former club, Villarreal for midweek action. And ‘El Ingeniero’ will at least be glad to have versatile defender, Sergio Ramos finally back in the squad for the first time in the new campaign after two-and-a-half months out with an Achilles tendon ailment.

Christoph Metzelder, however, is sidelined for three weeks due to injury and Pepe is serving out the remainder of his suspension carried over from last term. But Raul Albiol has shaken off a knock he picked up in midweek against FC Zurich and Ezequiel Garay has also been reinstated to the squad after being left out for the Champions League.

The biggest absence in midfield for Los Blancos will be Xabi Alonso, who is out for a week after sustaining an injury in Switzerland but Rafael van der Vaart has been once again omitted for technical reasons, leaving Pellegrini with the following 19 men:

Goalkeepers: Casillas, Dudek

Defenders: Sergio Ramos, Arbeloa, Garay, Albiol, Marcelo

Midfielders: Lass Diarra, Mahamadou Diarra, Gago, Kaka, Granero, Guti, Drenthe

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul, Benzema, Higuain, van Nistelrooy

We ask you to leave your choices in the comments feature below using hyphens to separate positions, working from right to left. For example, here is the side that could line up in a 4-2-2-2 formation:
