Villarreal 'Keeper Diego Lopez Expecting Difficult Match Against Athletic Bilbao
The shot stopper is expecting to be tested against los Leones...
Diego Lopez has admitted that Villarreal's match at San Mames against Athletic Bilbao this weekend will be "difficult", but that his side cannot afford to slip up again this early on in the season.
"Athletic have started the league very well because they had some competitive games beforehand and their stadium is a very difficult one in which to play, but there are no excuses for us," he affirmed to Marca.
"Now is the time to win. We have created chances and nothing has come of them, but this will change.
"Success is important, but before that is the game and what the team does."
Lopez then identified Fernando Llorente and Iker Muniain as the two danger men for los Rojiblancos. The duo scored in the Europa League encounter against Austria Vienna for Athletic, but the keeper is determined that he will not be beaten.
"Llorente and Muniain are very good players and can make things difficult for us. We must stay focused for the whole game so that they don't create opportunities against us."
