Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will feature in his sides next Primera Division game, at home to newly promoted Xerez, according to coach Manuel Pellegrini.
He said that Ramos' current training schedule is still like pre-season because the defender spent much of the summer injured and while he will not feature in today's game against Espanyol, or it seems the UEFA Champions League tie away to FC Zurich on Tuesday, he is set to return to the famous white shirt next weekend.
"Sergio is still subjected to pre-season work, he has trained with the team but there are plenty of games ahead. He'll be there next Sunday against Xerez," said Pellegrini.
The Chilean told Marca that it is "impossible" to retain a core to his side given the amount of games Madrid are to face this season, and the quality of the players at his disposal.
"The players we have at Madrid are always competitive and switched on. From the 23 players we have, every one is a guarantee for the first eleven. That is why they are on the payroll, because they all can maintain the level required by Real Madrid," he added.
