Osasuna midfielder Javier Camunas has stated that he is content in his new surroundings following his summer move from relegated Recreativo Huelva.

Camunas netted ten times from a supporting midfield role last season with Recre, but it wasn’t good enough to prevent them from finishing bottom of the pile in the Primera Division.

The 29-year-old snapped up a three-year deal offered by Jose Antonio Camacho to move to Pamplona, and Diario de Navarra reports that he is impressed at the quality of the club he has joined.

“I have joined a team that has great players and I like being here," he said, adding, “When I came here during my time with Recreativo, you could see how they support their side and make it difficult for the visiting team.”

Camunas also added that it is incredible to play for a club where the crowd offers such a vocal backing for the side.

He concluded, “It gives you confidence and the motivation to get out on the field and give back to them all the support they have given to you.”

Osasuna kicked off their Primera Division campaign with a 1-1 home draw with Villarreal at the Reyno de Navarra.
