The Galicians managed to equalise twice, before ending up on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline. Speaking to reporters after the match, Lotina was not too upset, saying, "I could not ask for more from my players.
"They played a great game against an omnipotent Real Madrid. I must congratulate my players.
"It was a great performance, and the difference from last year is there to see."
