Deportivo Veteran Valeron Praises Real Madrid Star Kaka

34-year-old midfielder says Kaka is the new Zidane at Madrid...

Valeron - Deportivo La Coruña
With Deportivo preparing to host Real Madrid in their first Primera Division game of the season, veteran Depor midfielder Juan Valeron has singled out Kaka as his favourite player in world football.

Valeron, who plays a similar creative midfield role to the Brazilian playmaker told AS of his admiration for Kaka, describing the 27-year-old as "one of the best footballers in the world".

Kaka joined Madrid during the summer in a €68.5 million move from Italian giants Milan, and Valeron is happy to be able to see more of him, especially considering they play a similar role.

"He is a player I like, not just in Spain but in the world. I move in similar places on the field. I admire him a lot and enjoy watching him play," Valeron said.

Valeron also compared Kaka to former Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane but said that they are "different players".

"Their work on the field is similar. I think that Kaka may now be the Zidane of Madrid," he added before saying he was "pleasantly surprised" by new Madrid addition Karim Benzema.
