Thierry Henry has admitted that he is still trying to shake off a knee injury in order to return to his best form for Barcelona in the new season.
The French forward has been suffering from tendinitis throughout pre-season and even though the problem has eased, it has not yet completely gone.
Having suffered injury problems during his first year at Camp Nou, Henry raised his game last term and hopes that he can become even better by shaking off his current complaint.
"I still have pain. For three weeks I have been struggling with my tendinitis and above all my knee," Henry told L'Equipe.
"I had to withdraw from the Faroe Islands match and the Gamper Tournament, because I could not go on that way."
"Moreover, I believe I wanted to be back to my best too quickly. They are usual pains I feel at the start of each season. But I feel much better. Against Athletic Bilbao, my tendinitis left me in peace.
"When I started to run everything was fine, but I still have a bit of pain."
