Barcelona's young winger Jeffren is to remain at the club for the rest of 2009 despite being linked with a possible loan move away from Camp Nou, according to Sport.
The 21-year-old was reportedly targeted by Racing Santander, who wanted to bring the player to El Sardinero on a season-long loan.
It now appears though that he may feature more regularly for Barca. Coaching staff postponed any possible loan move until January as Pep Guardiola may have a possible need for the Venezuela-born forward as cover for the first team.
Jeffren, who has been capped by Spain at various underage levels, made his first team debut for the Blaugrana in May of this year in a 2-1 defeat to Mallorca.
He has also featured regularly in Barca's summer preparations and scored twice in pre-season friendlies.
